The 20th anniversary Sports & Scholarships Golf Tournament is SOLD OUT!! Apologies to golfers who have been turned away.
Our golf fun day at Pike Lake Golf Resort on Thursday July 8, promises to be a good one and I'm glad that you're registered. Registration will begin mid-morning and the shotgun start is scheduled for 12:15 assembly of the carts.
Confirmed golfers have received your Drayton Entertainment package with a complimentary gift certificate for a pair of tickets to a 2010 performance of music and/or comedy at one of the four theatres listed. Book your tickets early to avoid dispappointment.
Golfers may wish to arrive early - complimentary access to the Pike Lake Driving Range is included this year. At registration, you will be given a coupon for one large bucket of balls for each foursome to "fine tune" your game prior to the tournament.
A reminder that Bill Heron will be have a magnificently crafted display of "ancient" golf clubs (circa 1905) during the tournament at Pike Lake.
Bill has a great interest in golf, has served as an official at the Canadian Open on many occasions, and has the display of various clubs matching those used more than 100 years ago.
As well, he has a special wooden carved tribute dedicated to a famous Ontario golfer, that has been signed by dozens of the touring professional golfers in the world, including many of the top current PGA pros.
Plan to visit the display at the Pike Lake Golf Course clubhouse during registration and lunch prior to the 2010 tournament or during the social hour and dinner. Bill has wonderful stories for each of you!
Mandy Bujold, the current Canadian Boxing Champion in her weight class, is our Honorary Chair for this year's tournament and will be available for conversation and autographs  during registration. Mandy has a great opportunity to be a Canadian Olympian and represent Canada at the 2012 Olympics in London, England.

Tournament Had Humble Beginnings
Mar 26, 2009, 10:16 pm
In 1990, the first official golf tournament was held as a fun event for staff and friends of Huronia Hockey Camp. Naturally, the event was held at Pike Lake Golf Course on Thursday July 9 with 32 golfers participating.
(see Photo Gallery for picture of the 1990 Champions)
In 1989, a group of friends gathered in August for a fun round of golf at Foxwood Golf Course near Baden, followed by a BBQ at the Thompson residence in Waterloo. Foursomes were selected by a cut of the cards and seven teams hit the links. Two teams were tied at 68 (-4) and a putting playoff was held.
